Indeed - why would anyone want to generate DDS these days, when DDL is so much 
better.  That's like going to a Ford dealer and asking to buy a Model-T from 
him.

You can generate an XSD from an XML through the java utility trang :

it work on IBM i.

Also, on the web there are many tools who can generate a CREATE TABLE 
statement from a XSD file.
