Michael,
I don't understand your restriction?
If you click on either option, it gives you the paypal page and you have the
option of logging into your existing paypal account, or entering credit card info.
We switched to this method (verses assuming you have a paypal account) because
so many people did not have a paypal account.
So it should be there for you.
Thanks! :)

Forgive my ignorance:
I have a Paypal account. I have a positive balance. When I try to donate it is
requiring a credit card. Is this the way Paypal works? Can I just donate
$'s from my account? |

I couldn't access the forums for the past few days, but can now, so thanks for
the fix. Chris. |

Fixed it. It was an HTML tag out of place.
Thanks Carol! |

I see that too in Firefox, but it works fine in Microsoft Internet Explorer.
I'll do some more research and see what's screwed up. Thanks Carol. |

Bob - I tried to make a one time contribution by picking the amount and
clicking the bar underneath that says, "One Time Contribution". Nothing
happened . . . I waited a bit and tried it again and same thing.
I was expecting a PayPal signon to come up or something. What am I doing
wrong?

We are going to be upgrading the equipment we use to do the live video shows as
well as Tuesday Tips and several other free podcasts.
To accomplish this, we need to invest in some new equipment.
Nothing serious, but it does cost month. Fortunately we have two choices:
1) A $4000 solution
2) A $20,000 solution
We are asking for your donations to help make this switch-over happen. Which
ever target we come closest to, is the one we will implement.
The biggest difference is in that of the broadcast equipment. The $20k
solutions uses a NewTek TriCaster to switch between live video feeds and works
well. But it adds $10k to $14k to the overall cost--plus there's
addition equipment needed to hook it to our other upgrades. Hence, the $20k
price tag.
The first choice is the most economic solution.
It includes a mixer upgrade to allow for 6 guests on the live shows as well as
the recorded podcasts. It also allows us to install 4 additional low-end PCs
each with their own instance of Skype with Video. This will allow us to switch
between folks during the show (instead of just Bruce and I).
If it hasn't already be done, I'm going to be updating the donations bar to the
left of the RPG Forum Discussion Index page. This new donations bar will include
both one-time donations as well as recurring donation options. If you do a
recurring donation, please limit it to at least $2/month but no more than
$10/month. One-time donations of $10 or more are appreciated as well. |
