I took your advice and did try to print only horizontal lines and it did work. 
The problem that I was having is that when the overlay was created in 
pagemaker the horizontal lines were extended to far out making it so that when 
the system was printing the overlay the lines disapeared. I then fixed the 
lines and now the overlay prints correctly. Thank you for this tip, I really 
appreciated it!

have you tried printing only a horizontal line?  sometimes you run into a 
print driver that does not support the AFP.

I have created an overlay in pagemaker 7.0 and have saved it to Generic 
infoPrint 300dpi AFP printer. This overlay is for invoices and does contain 
vertical and horizontal lines. When I load the overlay into our system using 
the AFP manager the horizontal lines do not appear on my print outs. I have 
also printed the overlay using the AFP utility and I am getting the same 
results. My question is, does one have any ideas why I can not get these lines 
to print? Thank you in advance for all your help!
